Seasonal Fun at Crumb de la Crumb
Fall is a favorite time of year—and with good reason! Autumn brings refreshingly cool breezes, chilly nights around the bonfire, the hustle and bustle of business, and of course, everyone’s favorite comfort foods. At Crumb de la Crumb, they have incorporated a few classic fall flavors into their everyday menu to help their guests savor every last bit of fall.
Their fall kale Caesar salad features baby kale with house croutons, their famous house-made Caesar dressing, and a drizzle of blackstrap molasses that adds the perfect sweet touch. They recommend pairing the fall kale Caesar salad with grilled or blackened salmon.
Their harvest salad is served on a bed of spinach with bacon-onion marmalade, toasted pumpkin seeds, apple sticks, and bleu cheese, all drizzled with their house sesame vinaigrette.
Last but certainly not least, their roasted pumpkin soup has been added to the weekly rotation of soups. It will blow you away with the flavors of house-roasted pumpkins, creme fresche, and toasted pumpkin seeds. The roasted pumpkin soup will not be available every day, so make sure to try it if you get the opportunity!
They also have a selection of specialty fall desserts added to their dessert rotation, like pumpkin cheesecake, chocolate cake with peppermint infusion, and maple-bacon brûlé 'e cake !
If you are looking for a little something special to do with your chilly fall evenings, join them for their weekly singer-songwriter nights every Thursday. Each week they will feature several beloved local Nashville singer-songwriters. They are always looking for more talent to add to the bill!
If you or a friend are interested in playing Crumb de la Crumb’s singer-songwriter night, email email@example.com. Big Things Happening with the Crumb de la Crumb Expansion
Heading into the fall season, things in Nashville are back in full swing. The big expansion at Crumb de la Crumb is at the forefront of everyone’s minds. They are so excited about what they are going to bring to the community as their way of giving back and building up Bellevue, one delicious meal at a time!
One of the aspects of the expansion they are most excited about is the addition of Capital Coffee Company , the brand new coffee branch of Crumb de la Crumb that will serve as a meeting place, study hub, and purveyor of fine artisan espresso and tea products to the Bellevue area. The coffee shop hopes to open its door for the Grand Opening Event on Halloween Night. In addition to Capital Coffee, Crumb will be introducing its next most exciting venture, the community culinary learning center that will serve as a culinary training center for all ages. It will also easily double as a special event rental space.
Starting in spring 2016, they hope to be offering regular culinary classes for all ages in the community culinary learning center. These classes will cover all things culinary—baking, cooking, different styles and techniques, special seasonal dishes, cooking for kids, and beyond. Most importantly, they will be making every effort to source ingredients for their classes sustainably and locally, to show people how they, too, can create quality, healthy meals at home while supporting the local economy by choosing to purchase from the farmers and markets right around the corner!
Of course, any improvements worth making come with a price tag. While they are very close to their goal of finishing the Crumb de la Crumb expansion, they still have a little ways to go. That is why they have launched their first-ever GoFundMe campaign , to allow loyal customers and supporters to express their appreciation. Proceeds from the GoFundMe campaign will go directly to the expansion process. More specifically to the renovation of the space for the culinary learning center and development of future cooking classes at Crumb de la Crumb.
The GoFundMe campaign may be found here. They appreciate all the help they can get, even if it’s just sharing the campaign on your social media!

The Perfect Cake for Your Perfect Day
Crumb de la Crumb sets itself apart from other bakeries in Nashville by creating wedding cakes that are not only beautiful, but also delicious. At the beginning of her career, owner and chef Lorie Burcham burst onto the culinary arts scene with wedding cakes that have made bride’s (and groom’s) dreams come true all across the Southeast.
What makes Crumb de la Crumb cakes so special? The bakeries’ distinctive infusion process, which injects cakes with limitless choices of delectable flavors—seasonal fruit, chocolate, caramel, various liqueurs, and more! The infused cakes are then covered with equally delicious fillings, homemade cream frostings and decorated with unmatched precision and flawless beauty.
The bakeries’ infusion and frosting options help create some of the most unique cakes in the world. Some of the most popular infusions are Tequila, fruit liqueurs, and Dulce de Leche—a caramel infusion with a caramel buttercream frosting. Whatever your favorite dessert is, Crumb de la Crumb can make it into a cake!
Cake tastings for weddings may be scheduled by calling or emailing the restaurant. Brides will be able to try any flavor that is already in the dessert case that day, and may request to try other flavors upon booking with Crumb de la Crumb. Once the bride has booked and chosen her favorite flavors, Lorie will create the perfect design to make her cake stand out from the crowd.
For any brides, grooms or family members with dietary restrictions, Crumb de la Crumb will work hard to ensure that all guests can enjoy a slice of cake. Gluten Free or Vegan clients can have their cake and eat it too on that special day.
A list of infused cake flavors and options can be found on Crumb de la Crumb’s website at crumbdelacrumb.com . Just click the “Custom Cakes” tab .
Bride’s interested in seeing some of Crumb de la Crumb’s past cake designs can see a variety of different styles on the bakeries’ Facebook and Instagram . Follow @CrumbdelaCrumb , and give the bakery a call today at (615) 673-2223 to schedule your tasting!
Crumb de la Crumb is Growing!
Crumb de la Crumb , located west of Nashville, TN in Bellevue , is pleased to announce an expansion in early September. The cafe is taking over the existing space in the current building, to offer a larger espresso bar, enhanced event space, cooking classes and a mini-marketplace.
The new café will offer patrons the space and opportunity to relax, get work done and have gatherings without the pressure of sitting in a formal dining room. This space will focus on artisan coffee beverages, teas and treats from the bakery.
The cafe hopes to build its existing venue and catering services by expanding the event space, to host even more events, such as rehearsal dinners, private parties and birthdays. A separate, more private area for dining will accommodate those looking to conduct business meetings or large luncheons. Traveling theater, wine tastings, musical performances—the possibilities for this new space are endless!
In addition, the cafe will begin to offer cooking classes for those wanting to sharpen their culinary skills and gain a bit more knowledge in the kitchen. Crumb de la Crumb cooking classes will make the perfect date night out in Bellevue, so watch for more information on Facebook !
Last but not least, the mini-marketplace will offer fresh products, such as local honey, non-GMO ingredients, gluten-free goodies and more. The cafe hopes to support local artists, farmers and other businesses by featuring their wares in the marketplace.
The expansion will begin at the end of August and is not anticipated to take more than a couple of weeks. Crumb de la Crumb will be closed for 1-2 business days during this time for major renovations, but will be open for regular business hours throughout the rest of the expansion.
Crumb de la Crumb is thrilled about growing, meeting the needs of customers and sharing the exciting opportunities coming as a result of this expansion. For more information and to hear the latest news, “like” Crumb de la Crumb on Facebook or visit crumbdelacrumb.com .
Bellevue Breakfast with a Unique Twist
Crumb de le Crumb café and bakery gives a new twist to classic breakfast items by serving a delicious breakfast menu weekdays from 8:00 am until 10:30 am.
The Cafe’s menu features many one-of-a-kind dishes, including fan favorites, such as the German pancake, East Nashville breakfast sandwich and Valentine French toast.
Nashville has plenty of pancake houses, but German pancakes are few and far between. Crumb de la Crumb fills this much needed niche with German pancakes to simply die for.
Another sweet treat is the French toast, which is delicious on its own, served traditionally with butter and maple syrup. For those looking to kick it up a notch, order one of Crumb de la Crumb’s special French toast varieties.
For the more savory palate, guests can choose one (or more) of Crumb de la Crumb ’s open-faced breakfast sandwiches. These sandwiches are served in four different varieties that are each so delicious, it is hard to choose just one. Let’s not forget the traditional breakfast lover who can order classic favorites such as eggs, bacon, toast, grits or hash browns.
No fuss, just fresh, local ingredients so our guests enjoy a homemade meal. Best yet, most all bakery and menu items can be made gluten free, to accommodate any dietary restrictions. Crumb de la Crumb is the perfect place to hold early morning business meetings, or to catch up with friends. The rustic interior of the cafe evokes a warm atmosphere to help guests wake up and start their day on the right foot. After all, the hardest decision anyone should have to make before 11:00 am is choosing between sweet or savory.

Celebrity cake designer Lorie Burcham and husband Jason Burcham established Crumb de la Crumb Cake Company in 2004 in the coastal area of North Carolina. They quickly became one of the top wedding cake or specialty cake companies in the area. Their success story exploded and soon they were working with the most exclusive resorts in the area and brides across the country.
They loved the beach and the business they had on the coast, but could not deny their love of music and decided Nashville, Tennessee was the best place to expand their designer cake business while pursuing their dreams of working in the music business. So, they uprooted in the midst of the recession and moved their family to Nashville.
“The move to Nashville has proven to be one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.” Nashville is a city of hope for anyone who knows what they want and has the desire to go for it, whether it is for music or anything else.
Since their Nashville start in 2010, they have had many accomplishments. They have appeared and competed twice on Food Network’s ”Food Network Challenge”, made cakes for many of Music City’s finest, including Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Jake Owen, Jewel, and many more. Their accomplishments have also caught the attention of the Tennessean, Nashville Scene, and other popular Nashville publications. Their cakes are known for their beautiful design. But, what sets their cakes apart is the “infused” process. Best described as the most deliciously moist cake you can get in just about any flavor you can think of.
In addition to the cake company, they have recently taken over a little cafe in Bellevue, formerly known as The Cottage Cafe. They boast of a menu that is completely fresh and homemade, using local ingredients in a quaint atmosphere with warm and inviting, true southern hospitality. In January, the cafe had its third major expansion. Crumb da la Crumb’s reputation is growing as one of the best places to eat in Nashville.
Jason and Lorie have made it their goal to take what they start and go all the way with it. They have expanded both the bakery and cafe menu to include gluten free, vegan, and dairy free. They believe that no matter what the need is, everyone should always be able to get great food and dessert.
A special feature of the cafe since Lorie is from the coast and grew up in the seafood restaurant business, she made sure that her menu included some of her coastal favorites, such as homemade crab cakes (the best you will eat, ever) and let’s not forget the Charleston She Crab Soup (best soup on the planet), which they already have a huge following for. Their cafe and cake shop is the perfect blend of all things delicious!
