Technologies such as our Course Discussion Forums provide 24-hour access to an online board, where students can post questions and comments to instructors. Forums let instructors and students from around the nation engage in semester-long conversations about their programs and fields of study. We use video streams, computer simulations, and personalized communication tools to engage and motivate students throughout their programs.

Healthcare and Business Career Training and Degree Programs

Jobs in the health services field are growing in the Nashville region. Information from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) shows steady increases during 2011. More than 100 hospitals and medical facilities are located in and around Nashville. Over 3300 physicians practice here as well.

The market for professional and business services—where our Business Management graduates often focus—is quite strong in the area as well. BLS shows monthly job increases by as much as five percent during 2011. Even the local hospitality market, which employs both business and healthcare personnel, experienced growth in the second half of 2011.

Admissions Representative

QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES

This individual should be self-motivated, possess good interpersonal and organizational skills, be a team player, and have the ability to relate to the public in a pleasant and professional manner. This position requires the ability to effectively present and communicate concepts while enabling others to visualize a life at Florida Career College.

1. Must have the ability to meet departmental objectives and handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities. Attention to detail and accuracy are necessary.

2. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra to solve basic math problems.

3. Reasoning And Analysis: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

4. Position requires a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

5. Build Relationships: Ability to relate to people in an open, friendly, accepting manner.

6. Attendance: Must be able to report to work regularly per the assigned schedule and steadily through the workday. Must be able and willing to work a non-traditional work schedule.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma, GED or equivalent education.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must possess good communication skills in English, both oral and written. Spanish is a plus.

Medical Front Office and Billing Instructor

Should possess at least two of the following criteria:

- Academic or Vocational training and credentials

- related work experience

- licensure or certification in a related field

"Preferred Credentials:

- Billing and Coding certification

- 3 years of experience in the field"

Education

- Must have a minimum of an Associates

Computer and Network Technician

Must Possess: Bachelors Degree, 15 postsecondary credits in subject area

- related work experience if Bachelors is not in field

Should possess at least two of the following criteria:

- Academic or Vocational training and credentials,

- related work experience

- licensure or certification in a related field

Preferred Credentials:

- Designated MICROSOFT certification

- MCSE certification and

- 3 years of experience in the field

Health Services Administration-Associates

Must Possess: Bachelors Degree, 15 postsecondary credits in subject area

Should possess at least one of the following criteria:

- related work experience

- licensure or certification

Preferred Credentials:

- 3 years of experience in the field
